Corvette Cleveland Extended Special Invitation
to attend the World Premiere Unveiling of the C-6 Convertible !

Tuesday, March 2,2004
Corvette Cleveland was invited by General Motors to attend the World Premier Unveiling of the 2005 (C6) Corvette Convertible at the Greater Cleveland International Auto Show. They were asked to arrive a couple of hours before the general public would be entering the Auto Show. Thirty Members of Corvette Cleveland, individual guests, representives from Corsa Performance, along with Chevrolet Dealers were in attendance with coverage by local media. After an introduction, (along with recognition of Corvette Cleveland being one of the oldest N.C.C.C. clubs in the nation) and a few remarks by W.W.Brent Dewar (Chevrolet Divison General Manager) Tadge Juechter (Assistant Chief Engineer Corvette Launch Team) spoke for more than 30 minutes describing the "POWER, PASSION, PRECISION" that went into the development of the C6.
His description of traditions, new concepts and the application
of them to the design of the exterior, interior, engine, drive system and
the ultra electronics integrated into the overall new concepts, convinced
those in attendance that this surely is setting a new definition for what
a sports car can be. After the presentation, guests were able to view the
car up close and have features demonstrated such as the Keyless Access,
power top and tonneau cover.
As Corvette Cleveland President Al Etzel said on TV coverage: "THEY DID NOTHING WRONG ON THIS NEW GENERATION CORVETTE". Corvette Cleveland members had a fun day and would like to thank Mary Roberts of GM for this once in a lifetime invitation.
Thanks to Tim Obert for these great Photos of the unveiling
