MINUTES OF SPECIAL REGIONAL MEETING

 

 

November 18, 2000

 

 

The Regional meeting was called to order by RE Norb Huner, at 11:05 AM at Executive West, in Louisville Ky.

The following clubs and officers were represented:

Norb motioned to dispense reading minutes from last meeting, motion carried.

 

Reading of the treasurer’s report was waived.

 

A quorum was verified before meeting started.

 

We then went to voting on by-laws, as amended at the last meeting, for the region.  Four mail in ballots were received and counted.  By laws were passed 11 yes to “0” no vote.  Next, the regional budget was voted on.  Budget passed 10 yes to 1 abstention.

 

It was brought up that after the first of the year we need to seriously look at ways to get a balanced budget.  Clubs should come up with suggestions for money making ideas for the region. 

 

For the December meeting you will need to bring $20.00 for club dues, and $ 15.00 per sanction event you bid.

 

It was asked if one check could be used for club dues, sanction fees and membership.  Membership MUST go in a separate check.  Mickey will accept one check for club dues and sanction fee but you must show her your intent to pay by check before the meeting starts.  She must verify that all clubs are paid in good standing before bidding on events start.

 

Norb had a list of  PROPOSED meeting dates for clubs to consider.  If they conflict with an event you are going to bid, the dates can be moved.  The proposal for 2001 dates are as follow:

 

                March 10

                May 12

                July 28

                September 29

                December 1

 

Chuck Heretta asked if we could start our regional meetings earlier, say 10:00am.  After some discussion and checking with the Pioneer Governor a straw vote favored this.  It was then decided to make the time changes starting for the meeting dates in 2001.  NEXT YEAR’s meeting start times will be 10:00am, December meeting  9:00am. 

 

REMEMBER sanction fee for this December 2, 2000 meeting is $15.00 per event bid.

 

MEETING TIME FOR DECEMBER 2, 2000 MEETING IS 10:00AM.
